Either a swivel or solid cap is used to measure static and residual pressures in the system from the test hydrant.
Option #1 Solid Gauge Cap:
When the solid gauge cap is attached to the hydrant and tightens, the gauge is facing wherever it faces. This can be corrected partially by using our Quick Disconnect Couplings with the gauge,. then, while the gauge may still be positioned in an inconvenient direction, the gauge itself can be turned into a better position.
Option #2 Swivel Gauge Cap:
The swivel cap can be hand-tightened with the gauge facing in the correct direction then snugged up with the spanner wrench.
Gauges are ordered separately to ensure that the best gauge for your application is chosen.
